Here’s a fun annual fundraiser accepting submissions. The event is in Woodstock, NY but you can send your work as long it arrives by the deadline. Deadline is November 18th. Strict parameters so read carefully. Seventeenth Annual 5 by 7 Show Kleinert/James Center for the Arts, 36 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY 12498 December 3 – 31, 2016. I remember the first NADA art fair. I was so impressed and awed by it. Interesting art, amazing galleries, chic presentation. It was edgy, something edgy and different and cool. With the announcement this week that New York dealer Lisa Cooley is closing her LES gallery, ARTnews took a look at a where the galleries from the very first NADA fair are now. The deadline for “New American Paintings” next Northeast edition (for artists in CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI & VT) is August 31st. The juror for this one is Laura Phipps, Assistant Curator, Whitney Museum of American Art. $50 fee to submit. Interested but not your area? You can sign up to receive updates on their website.

La Luz de Jesus Coaster Show Deadline Approaching!

The deadline to submit work for possible inclusion in the amazing, annual La Luz de Jesus Gallery Coaster Show is August 1st. I highly recommend grabbing some coasters and giving it a try. Just be sure to follow the submission guidelines precisely (See Launching Your Art Career: A Practical Guide for Artists, page 47 for more about following guidelines.).
